The Broderick Gillawarna Special School appreciates any assistance they receive in raising funds for their sensory room. Call 0425 288 526 for more info.

They will be holding a race day at Bankstown Paceway on 16 April to raise the funds for the sensory room. Full Buffet Lunch, tickets $110 PH, or $1,000 for a table.

A Sensory room is a place where special needs children & adults can be engaged through play. A safe place to explore and develop their senses and skills, fulfilling the need for sensory input. The overactive can be calmed, the inactive become interested. The partially sighted can see the vivid colours. Those mobile, can chase the moving col-ours, feel different textures with their hands & feet. The whole room can change by applying pressure to simple switches or pressure pads or by making a noise and for those with severe special needs, the room can be set to automatically change programs providing a pleas-ant, calming environment, a wonderful experience even if all they can do is lay and enjoy it.
PLEASE HELP US TO MAKE THIS WONDERFUL ROOM A
